The staff were very nice, and accommodating, thats about the best part. There was no hand towel, no hairdryer. I had to ask for hairdryer and he wanted me to bring it back. I said but it’s for in the morning. He said ok keep it, but first hotel without a hair dryer in the room. We had a twin room and it was cramped beyond belief. You had to turn away from the shower because it’s right next to the bed, with a mirror that can see who’s in the shower. No privacy at all from another person. The bathroom door was plywood? About 1/4” thick with magnetic closure. It was pretty quiet in room 1. Breakfast was just cereal and bread, no eggs, waffles, bacon. Just bread, canned peaches.
Not close to anything historic, had to rent a bolt driver to get us places, or take the bus.
We will never stay here again, best thing again was the staff.

Despite a 3 stars, this hotel had all the comfort we need.
The room is quite spacey.
In particular we loved the several surfaces where to lay stuff and clothes. Table, tv table, 2 bed tables, spacey closet, a chair , a poef and a couch. Surfaces are really important to store belongings while on vacation.
Special mention to the bathroom, we believe it was recently updated. The shower was amazing and big! The basin quite spacey.
The hotel was clean and comfortable .
There is no fridge in the room but that was not a problem for us.
Only 10/12 minutes walking from city center, a convenient supermarket 3 minutes walking.
Check in and check out was very fast.

A city of heritage, heart and of course Hogmanay, Scotland’s capital is vibrant and edgy. Whether or not you come for one of its many festivals, Edinburgh is quite simply a feast for the senses.
The wealth of Edinburgh sights ranges from Holyrood Palace to the Botanical Gardens, Princes Street to the Royal Mile. Overseeing them all is majestic Edinburgh Castle. Be there at sunset on a clear day to see the city below bathed in a warm, orange glow. Simply stunning.
Wandering the streets, the smell of fish and chips wafts by, with the unique twist of salt ‘n’ sauce – a must-try variation on this favourite dish. Follow it up with a smooth whisky and you’ll start to feel like a local.
For a taste of Scottish culture, a kilt-wearing busker often plays the bagpipes on Waverley Bridge, while traditional folk music can be heard in some Old Town pubs. Complete your stay with a rugby match at Murrayfield or a round at one of the city’s 14 golf clubs, and you’ll have the true Edinburgh experience.

We stayed two nights in Edinburgh and were able to see various things such as climbing Arthur’s Seat, Edinburgh Castle, Saint Giles Cathedral, Calton Hill, Royal Mile and visited various pubs and restaurants. A little more time might have been nice, however leaving that for next time. The city was full of life and the sun and warmth had people enjoying being outside. People from all parts of the world can be found in the city - quite wonderful. As to Edinburgh Castle, if you like castles it may be worth the visit but it was inundated with tourists and there was a long line-up to see the royal jewels (outside the building) which we did not partake in. Interesting historically but nothing terribly special to see is our thinking.

Edinburgh is probably one of the most beautiful cities to visit in the UK. In general, I suggest going thorugh the streets of the city centre, visit the castle and all that area, and enjoying all the history of the city. I love also doing shopping in Edinburgh and there are so many places to eat amazing food from all the countries. There are many ways to go around thorugh the different parts of the city, for example bus or taxi or simply walking.

The city is wonderful.
The city is wonderful. It is so clean and the roads and streets are wide and open. I would recommend the Royal Mile and the Castle. We had a great visit to the Vaults under the city with a superb guide Darren from Auld Reekie Tours. Another beautiful place to visit is Dean Village. The key tourist areas were busy but accessible, apart from being full of selfie taking obsessives who seemed oblivious to traffic and fellow pedestrians.
The Tram to the airport was cheap and quick (£7.50)

I love Edinburgh, such an open city.
I love Edinburgh, such an open city. A combination of old and new with lovely views everywhere. The transport is amazing, it's so easy to get around. Deacon's House is a lovely cafe in old town, and the National Museum is worth a visit. Lovely building. Hanover 71 is another lovely cafe and there's a chain of Scandinavian bakeries worth a visit. The market at Stockbridge on Sundays is lovely on a sunny day. Check out all the Gormleys too.
We had a very helpful and warm welcome at reception, the parking is so convenient too, especially for being in Edinburgh city centre. The hotel was very central too and was a 5 min walk from princes street.
The room was a castle view room- it was spotless, had a stunning view, and was very spacious. We also were provided with complimentary slippers and robes.
The bar was lovely too with good drink options, we didn’t get a chance to eat in the restaurant but we will the next time. We will certainly be back!
The location was great, only a few mins drive into the city centre with buses every few mins, including one to and from the airport (only takes 10 mins). The staff were so helpful and friendly and the accommodation was stunning. Everything was so clean and comfortable. When we had a problem, they sorted it straight away and ensured we had the best stay possible. I’ve been to Edinburgh several times in the past and this was the best property I’ve stayed at, hands down! This includes a number of chain hotels.
Hotel is a new building built in a very modern and stylish way. It is placed in a quiet area but close to the city centre by 15 min walk. Staff at the hotel is polite and helpful. Check in and check out procedure is simple and fast. Rooms are neat and keeped like that through all your stay. I stayed at queen room which had comfortable bedding and view of the city. Restaurant prices are affordable and food is tasty. Can't wait to come back and I absolutely recommend.
Pretty much perfect location as it’s in the middle of new town and old town , and right infront of the rail station. It also has a shortcut path to take you directly from the hotel to the Royal mile in about 20 seconds lol. It was perfect, you really can’t get a better location. Also they had so many amenities like an espresso machine and the fluffiest sheets ever. I was extremely happy and comfortable here. If I return to Edinburgh I will only stay here.
Best location in Grassmarket area, close to old town, royal mile and new town. Modern lobby and rooms. Room very large with huge sofa seating area. Extra comfy chairs, large TV. Made for enjoyable down time. Very nice bed and bath. Staff very helpful entire visit. Did not eat at restaurant, as several small cafes and bakeries within steps. Perfect hotel for visiting the city and walking. No car needed. Certainly stay there again.
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, not too far from Edinburgh city centre, we took a taxi into the city one day and it cost just over £20. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and the shower was great. We didn’t use the facilities since we were out but they have a wide range of things to do, and the pool is open late. The bar staff were very friendly, and introduced me to my new favourite cocktail!
Our favorite hotel of our trip! The staff was so friendly, the room extremely spacious, the beds were comfortable and the bedding warm on some very cold Scottish nights. We also really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. A great location to be near both the tram and train station as well as the Tesco and restaurants near by. A little outside of New Town/Old Town but the tram was a 7 minute commute.
We stayed here as our last stop before returning home from a 12 day trip around Scotland. Location right outside the train station which was perfect for our tired feet. Also right around the corner from the stairs to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. Clear, comfy and a great way to get a good nights sleep before the long flights over the pond.
Ten Hill Place was a convenient and comfortable location from which to explore Old Town Edinburgh. It is close to Waverly Station, the Royal Mile and our favorite for this trip, the National Museum of Scotland. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, and the hotel restaurant provided excellent breakfasts.
This place has lots of character and was better in person! Pleasantly surprised at larger bedroom suite and view of courtyard, great location in New Town area (downhill from Old Town Edinburgh), staff was super friendly and helpful, and the common areas were quite enjoyable.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable with great facilities, especially the pool, steam room and sauna. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Restaurant offered nice food at reasonable prices. In a quiet location only a bus ride to Edinburgh city centre.
Hotel is lovely, located in quiet area but handy with tram stop round the corner which we used to travel into city centre. The Royal Yacht Britannia within walking distance of hotel too. I would recommend & use again if visiting Edinburgh.
It was the perfect location, my partner and I had previously booked a hotel around Murrayfield but having stayed in the city centre has made travelling much easier. It also helps that the hotel is a few minutes away from Edinburgh Castle.
Not to far from Edinburgh City centre
Free parking
Given full refund after poor night's stay due to prom party on until late beneath our room
Receptionists were polite and helpful
Hotel room was good
Comfy bed
A great location on a short, frequent bus route to the city centre (to save problems of parking in Edinburgh). Good hotel car park; lovely modernized bedroom and ensuite; and super breakfast in the Bothy restaurant.
very cosy hotel with everything what you need ! it is not in the city centre but we knew that when we booked our room.
we had beautiful room with the view on the street with old buildings which was lovely.
The room was absolutely amazing. Perfect for a stay in Edinburgh. It was a beautiful hotel in a great location. Quiet but close for walks and to the city centre.
